I'm impressed with your ability to turn ordinary, meaningful English words into political gibberish. I'm guessing you're okay with the first sentence, which just leaves the second sentence. Here's a bit of background to consider, the XLSMA is based on the CSMA, which has existed in game for years, with all the same behaviors. We're not talking about a bug fix, we're talking about doing some brand spanking new game design work. I think it's fair to say that when we're talking about game design you'd like it to take the time to make sure that it's going to fill the role needed, and also that it doesn't inadvertently **** over some other aspect of the game.
So, as I said we need to discuss the scope (what other stuff gets affected) of the functionality (how should this work?), as well as the best (not the most obvious, but the best) way to fix it (move it to a state where people don't make threads). CSM 8 Representative

So how do you respond to Ayerson's argument (to which I concur) that this is a trivial fix to an unforeseen exploit. Pos modules should not be accessible from outside the FF. That is clearly not intentional (the FF protects the people inside who own the stuff right?). It's not at all clear to me there is a "scope" to this issue. Thus when I saw your post it seemed as though you used a bunch of stereotypical jargon to basically say "we will think about doing something," while you hadn't in the first place stated what there was to think about. No one in this thread had or has given a counterpoint to changing the size of the xl sma, so if there are any they aren't readily apparent to anyone, except maybe you. Which would make sense given that I'm the one with additional knowledge.
As Chitsa said to the tune of multiple "likes":
Chitsa Jason wrote:Talked to the devs. CCP is aware of the issue and they are thinking about how to fix it. So I'm trying to give a little additional info about why things may not be quite so clear as they appear. For instance, if we scale down the XLSMA, what point does it shrink around? What is the coordinate system like?
The CSM is on the job. We're working with CCP to get this worked in as part of the development cycle of EVE. I honestly can't say more than that. CSM 8 Representative
